Gangnam Style
So we wanted to bow out in style. With all the hype surrounding the song and dance moves from "Gangnam style" we thought, our korean experience would not be complete without dancing to Gangnam style. So with the completion of our programme there was only one more thing left to do, dance to Gangnam style. After dinner on a Thursday night in Itaewon, we hit up a nightclub (mind you it was still very early and empty) and asked the DJ if we could have a few songs played. First we danced the Azonto dance, Spanish dance and it was onto Gangnam style. Because we were asked to learn the dance before hand it was so cool seing everyone fall into line and pulling out their best gangnam style moves. Best way to bow out with style and say thank you Korea for being such great hosts :)

Trick Eye Museum, Hongdae
With nothing to do on a Saturday, my friends and i looked for a place to check out in Seoul. My Filipino friend who loves to do her research on best places to visit in Seoul came up with the Trick Eye Museum. So we decided to find one closest to our University. We settled on Hongdae Trick Eye Museum.
Whilst we thoroughly enjoyed art in various forms it was also an opportune time to unleash the inner child in us and have fun....and also take lots of funny pictures!

Cross. And turn left into the little street just after Holika Holika. Walk down two to three blocks before you see a sign that says Santorini Seoul on your right. Take the steps down.
Peru has Seoul
This is a late post but i think it's never too late to make a post on good food. What say?
We had lunch at a Peruvian restaurant in Hapjeong. (You can get there on the green line, Line number 2) Nothing beats good food and traditional music. If you are ever near the Hapjeong area or just feel like having a Peruvian food check out this restaurant, Viva Peru. We went with our Peruvian friend so it was easy to get advise on what was best on the menu!!

Big Shoe Shop in Namdaemun Market,Seoul
Women's shoes in Korea run up to 250 in most shops. I have had to resort to buying shoes online from GMarket or looking around in Itaewon for size 270. As a student i really cannot afford to buy shoes from A&H at Itaewon so i resort to looking far and wide for shoes that i can fit into and are also reasonably priced.
Today i found a shop in Naemdamun Market called Shoe Mart, about five to six shops before Alpha Stationery. They sell up to size 270mm for women. The variety isn't much, but worth having a look at.
Directions : line 4 to Hoehyeon Station, Exit 5. Walk all the way down until you see Jungang building on your right. Now turn left into the arcade. You will see Alpha Stationery some blocks to the right. Shoe Mart is a little shop five to six blocks before Alpha Stationery. I saved their number just in case, 753-8023.
[Theres also a shop that sells up to size 270 in
Naemdamun market, and it is the first shoe shop on your right as you walking down (away from) Hoehyeon Station Exit 5]
Here's a pair i bought from Shoe Mart. Again the variety is not much so if you're looking for something better Itaewon would be your best option.

Suwolbong Volcanic Deposits, Lava Tubes and Cheonjiyeon Waterfalls
After two days of E-GOV research on Jeju Do, our team joined another Team from our programme that was doing research on the UNESCO World Natural Heritage sites. We took a tour around the island of Jeju do to witness some breathtaking views of the Cheoniyeon Waterfalls, Lava Tubes and Suwolbong Volcanic Deposits.
Here are some of the photos i took from my phone during our trip around the island.
